Authentic Storytelling in advertising isn’t always an easy companion. On rare occasions we get to tell stories that help lift a brand as well as tell a whole and sometimes difficult truth. In 2015 Grey Advertising and Clairol brought back a model that Clairol had first featured in the mid 70’s. At the time Tracey ‘Africa’ Norman wasn’t known as a transgender model she was assumed female and the combination of beauty and grace led her to become a top model.
